About Readers

Becoming a Reader is a powerful way to serve at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church by proclaiming the word of God to the congregation. This ministry allows readers to develop a deep, personal connection with Scripture, sharing God’s message in a way that encourages others to listen and absorb His teachings.

Readers not only learn about our spiritual heritage and identity but also help the parish community do the same. Those interested should have a love for Scripture, a clear speaking voice, and a comfort with public speaking.
